Is the audit really free?
Yes — no card, no contract, no trial. We run the audit through our own tooling (the same toolchain behind our client retainers) and email you the written report automatically — usually within about 60 seconds, under 5 minutes at most. There is no sales call unless you want one.
What kind of websites do you audit?
Any NZ-based business website — tradies, hospitality, professional services, ecommerce, tourism, B2B. The audit framework is the same; the priority recommendations differ by industry. If you are not based in NZ, we will still run the audit but our recommendations are tuned for the NZ search market.
How long does it take to receive my audit?
Usually within about 60 seconds — it is automated. Most audits land in your inbox in under a minute, under 5 minutes at the very most. Unusually large sites (1000+ pages) can take a little longer to crawl, but you are still talking minutes, not days.
What do I do with the audit findings?
The report is structured as a prioritised punch list — high impact items first, ranked by effort vs return. You can: action them yourself, hand the list to your existing developer or agency, or ask us for a fixed-price quote to handle the work. There is no obligation either way.
How is this different from running PageSpeed Insights myself?
PageSpeed gives you a number. Our audit explains what is causing that number, what it is costing you in lost rankings, which fixes will move it most, and what your competitors look like on the same scale. We also include GEO/AIO checks and schema audits PageSpeed does not cover. The two tools answer different questions.
Do you audit websites outside Auckland?
Yes. Webgun is Auckland-based but we audit NZ business websites from Whangarei to Queenstown — see our Areas page for a full list of markets we serve. Audit framework is identical; the competitor analysis is tuned to the search market your business is actually in.
Will you cold-call me after I submit?
No. We ask for your number so we can follow up if you want to talk through the findings — never to ring you with a pitch. The report arrives by email automatically, with our findings and no upsell.
What if my site is brand new with no traffic yet?
Even better — we will tell you exactly what to build into the site from day one to rank fastest, what schema to ship with, what content gaps to fill, and which keywords to target based on your competitors' actual rankings. The audit is more actionable on a new site than on an established one, because you can act on findings before they cost you anything.
